Do you need to check in twice when connecting with Star Alliance members?

I'm going to be connecting but both of my airlines are part of Star Alliance. Will I get both my boarding passes for my 1st and 2nd flight and will I need to check in at the connecting airport?Do you need to check in twice when connecting with Star Alliance members?you should be able to get all boarding passes when you first check

BUT:

I do suggest for you to check at every connection with the CSR regarding your boarding passes. As some-times the airlines prefer to print their own BP. And if collecting miles for your frequent flier programme, definitively check with them.



Foe the luggage all is well EXCEPT if you are arriving to a foreign country, as USUALLY you do inmigrations and customs at the FIRST point of entry.
