How do i know the expansion to a computer game installed successfully?

I bought "The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind" and "The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion" both game of the year editions and i want to know how i can tell if the expansions installed correctly. How do i know the expansion to a computer game installed successfully? In Morrowind, you'll know if the Bloodmoon expansion installed by asking virtually any NPC about "Rumors." If you hear about an island near Khuul, the Bloodmoon storyline is open to you. For the Tribunal expansion, you'll have to wait one to three days in-game, then sleep outdoors. If your sleep is cut short by a strange person in black armor attacking you, that's the beginning of the Tribunal storyline. (Note: you may have to sleep outdoors a few times to trigger the attack.)

In Oblivion, the idea is much the same; wait 24 in-game hours, then ask virtually any NPc outside of Anvil about "Rumors." If they tell you that the chapel in Anvil was attacked and speak of a Prohpet, the Knights of the Nine questline can be started.

For the Shivering Isles expansion: if, after three or more days of in-game time, a journal entry pops up telling you about a strange door in Niben Bay, you'll know that the Shivering Isles has opened up to you.

Keep in mind that with both games, these expansions were designed with high-level characters in mind. Only start completing the quests once you've leveled up enough. How do i know the expansion to a computer game installed successfully?Well, first off, I just install the first game to see if it works properly. If you have an expansion, it should be a different game icon than the original one after you install the expansion.
