How do you add a downloaded Sims game to an already existing Sims game?

I downloaded some torrents onto my computer for my Sims 2 game that I have so that I have more of an expansion for my Sims. Does anyone know how to add then to the game after i downloaded them from the torrent?How do you add a downloaded Sims game to an already existing Sims game?get a memory card and then download that sims stuff too the card then transfer it to something else you want in the sims game.
