Will no game ever look better then uncharted2 on the ps3 Is uncharted 2 the best the ps3 can offer in graphics?

Does uncharted 2 max out the ps3 100% in terms of graphics? Will no game ever look better then u2 for ps3 or can the ps3 hardware still offer more? Will no game ever look better then uncharted2 on the ps3 Is uncharted 2 the best the ps3 can offer in graphics?Rarely can a game ever boast "maxing" the limits of a console's graphics, especially this early in that console's life. Consider the games released for the Xbox. It was released in 2001and game developers were improving the use of its specs to heighten its graphic potential until the middle of 2008.

Contrast that with the PS3.

The PS3 is a fairly new console, which means that there is still more time to develop better methods of utilizing the console's specs. The PS3 also utilizes fairly new technology that is difficult to program for, giving me the impression that more can be learned about using that technology.

I would expect the final max out of the system to come from Sony itself, assuming that those developers have the best handle of the programing for their system, but even that statement is a but presumptuous, knowing little about the specific ins and out of the programing.

At least one game developer is already claiming that their upcoming game has better graphics that Uncharted 2. While the new Uncharted looks really impressive, I think we can expect plenty more improvements to the graphics of PS3 games over the next few years.

Oh, and p$r, I was wondering where you got your specific percentage for the graphic usage of U2? Thanks in advance. Will no game ever look better then uncharted2 on the ps3 Is uncharted 2 the best the ps3 can offer in graphics?Firstly, the % system doesn't wrk here... So if ND says UC2 maxed out or used 100% of PS3, that means the engine they are using uses 100% PS3 SPEs. But computer logic can be optimized to churn out better codes. I study Java and it's a common understanding that a code of 5 lines can be made (if possible) to replace a 5 page code and also increase the time and space efficiency (in short take less time and less space). These Engines are nothing but codes and when you optimize a 'Code', you optimize the 'engine'.

UC2 is the best example. It uses ND Engine 2.0 which is an upgraded ND Engine 1.0. Compare 1 and 2 and you can see the massive difference just by optimization. So UC3 might be as big a leap as UC2 was from 1. It all depends on the devs.

Another factor is the art style. It depends on the setting of the game. I personally was more 'Blow away' by Killzone 2 than UC2 cause I love that sort of art style. I even think that the upcoming God Of War 3 game is the best looking game on any console mainly cause I love the art style.

In the end look at it this way. What if ND goes and makes UC3 with Destructible environments? That would mean the graphics would downgrade from UC2 or look like UC2, so what do you say then? UC3 was a leap or UC3 was a downgrade? I would say it would be a great leap making the game with such destructible environment... On paper as well the game is 'Technically better' than UC2, but it doesn't look like.... It as I said depends on the 'Art style'.

This is just 3 years into PS3 lifecycle. Remember the good old PS2 days.. Games that came out earlier in the life cycle look crap in front of games that came out later. God Of War 2 is the best looking PS2 game and it looks a gen better than the first games.. Games on consoles look better after 3-4 years and it's showing now for the PS3.. Things will only get better from here on.Will no game ever look better then uncharted2 on the ps3 Is uncharted 2 the best the ps3 can offer in graphics?nope hardware still has a lot more U2 only tapped about 60 percent of what the ps3 can doWill no game ever look better then uncharted2 on the ps3 Is uncharted 2 the best the ps3 can offer in graphics?
