How practical would it be to attempt to get a doctorate in video game history?

I am currently a history major and lover of video games. I want to combine the two because the video game industry is twice the size of the music industry. I was just curious if this is something I should pursue or just write a book about later.How practical would it be to attempt to get a doctorate in video game history?Have you ever seen a "Video game historian wanted" sign? Seems highly impractical, unless your already in the gaming industry, then maybe they can find a use for it. Or possibly even teaching a history of video games class, but that would require you to take teaching classes
