What are some good stuffings to put into my dogs medium sized kong dog toy?

I have never heard of peanut butter being bad for dogs. I have heard that chocolate and grapes are bad for dogs. I always gave it to my dog in her kong toy. I also make dog ice cream for her with it. To make the ice cream I mix some peanut butter and plain yogurt together and freeze it in small cups. It is cheaper than buying the stuff in the stores. Is it bad to put peanut butter in my dogs toy kong?Get a natural or organic peanut butter and do it.
I put it in my dogs Kong..it didn tkill him,and he loves it! plus ,it lasts longer then that cheesy stuff you can buy,and it doesnt get on your carpet near as bad.Is it bad to put peanut butter in my dogs toy kong?peanut butter wont kill your dog...trainers have been known to use the stuff!! unless, like a human, he's allergic.....but relax..as long as it's not a Reeses ( chocolate CAN kill him)

My dogs love peanut butter and have never had a bad reaction to it. I got an answer on here once that sounded cool, she said to cover one end of the kong with foil and fill it with chicken broth. Put it in the freezer and once frozen it is like a popcicle for dogs. I tried it and my dog just LOVED it.Is it bad to put peanut butter in my dogs toy kong?
Peanut butter is fine for most dogs and is great for a kong. Unfortunately our puppy gets diahrea with even a little bit of peanut butter. We use the kong spray stuff and she loves that too.

You can stuff biscuits and kibble inside the kong and cap it off with peanut butter, then freeze it.

There are a lot of recipes on kong's site too.
A trainer recently told me about freezing the Kong's.

Fill the center with that cheese that comes in a can, or peanut butter, and freeze it over night. It takes forever for them to get it out of the middle, but they taste it, so it keeps them occupied trying to get it out. She said that it's also GREAT for teething puppies, because it sooths their soar months, and gives them a treat at the same time.

Peanut butter doesn't hurt dogs, unless they are allergic to peanuts. Lots of trainers suggest it, as well as vets.
Peanut butter can give them diarrhea if you over do it.. I like to pack them with carrots, takes them a good long time to get them out.. By the time they do, they are exhausted and asleep.
i don't think so. peanut butter is fine, just not chocolate.
Unless it has a peanut allergy, otherwise it's great to use! We often recommend peanut butter for giving pills to dogs.
Peanut butter won't kill dogs, they love it and, in moderate amounts, it's fine for them.
i don't know if it will kill your dog but i won't now suggest he eat it. they make treats desinged to go inside of chew toys. if you are just trying to get him to chew on it boil it in some chicken stock or tuna jucie. But check out you local petsmart or petco. good luck..
i have never heard that peanut butter can kill a dog, it's fine to put that in the kong toy. but if you're worried, a piece of cheese, or you can go out and buy those, dog treats and put those in there, basically anything that smells good, to a dog i.e. meats, cheese, NOT flowery things that you and i find appealing.
i have never heard of peanut butter being bad and i give it to my dog in her Kong toy....i put some dog food in the peanut butter to....it keeps her occupied a little longer that way...they have jerky sticks that you can put in them too...
It's a good, healthy treat, just don't give it every day.

Another dog lover/breeder told me it was how she got her boxers up to weight, the extra protein helps them maintain a healthy weight if they are exceptionally active. I don't give peanut butter to my pug because he's not that active but at a good weight... my boxer gets a peanut butter treat once or twice a week... I also give meds with peanut butter. The vet told me about that trick.
It is fine to give dogs peanut butter. It does have a lot of fat so don't give them too much. They love it.

I put peanut butter and treats in my lab's kong. He loves it and it keeps them occupied for a while. I don't know how he gets those treats out of there, but he does.

If you are worried about it, just ask your vet for advice on dog treats. They should be more than willing to make some recommendations for your breed.
