What do toy poodles look like when they get older?

Hello, im thinking of buying a toy poodle puppy as they are so so cute, but im worried that they look a bit ugly when they get older does anyone have any insite on this? What do toy poodles look like when they get older? We just got a 3 year old toy poodle (4.5 lbs) and he is adorable! We give him a puppy cut since we can do it ourselves and we dress him in warm sweaters/coats so that he doesn't get too cold. Here's a picture of him! http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=31736331%26amp;l=44002b9506%26amp;id=64601555.

Just as an advocate of animals, have you thought about adopting a pet? If you rescue an animal that is 2-3 years old, you will already know what they look like fully grown so you won't have to worry! Plus, if you get lucky like we did, you can find a pet that is already fixed, crate/house trained, micro chipped, up to date on shots and looking for his/her forever home. (Plus it is usually cheaper overall than getting a puppy, and you will know that you are not contributing to puppy-mills) (http://www.humanesociety.org/issues/puppy_mills/)

There are a lot of sites that have animals up for adoption like petfinder.com and you can also check around for a local "poodle rescue" by googling the phrase and your location.

What do toy poodles look like when they get older?once it gets older, it gets really ugly and goes into a deep depression because it wants to be as cute as it used to be. Once it's about a year old you have to put it out of it's misery and burn it in a ceremonial sacrificial burning in your backyard to the Mayan gods to spare you from the apocalypse and so you can meet Thor in Valhalla and fight him with your toy poodle
Well like any living thing that gets older they do lose their youthful good looks.

I have many a senior poodle come in for grooming and they are usually toothless and sort of sparse haired like most old people. They get warts and tumors. They develope cataracts and go blind. They get a bit crabbie with old age but i can't blame then because i'd be crabby to if some nut was shaving my whole body.

Most of the older poodles i groom are in their late teens. So expect to have this dog a long time. But by the time the dog gets to that point you will love them too much to care what they look like. Puppies are only cute and tiny for about 6 months then they are dogs for the rest of their lives.

Also they are difficult to potty train. :pWhat do toy poodles look like when they get older? It depends on how their hair gets cut. It can get like this: http://dogexpertguides.com/toypoodle/toy_poodle.gif

Or have shorter hair.

You can also give them that classic poodle look with the puff balls.

My friend for 15 years had a toy poodle. I knew it from a pup up until she died a few weeks ago. Her outward appearance was mostly unchanged her whole life. so, no they don't get ugly.

She did get eye problems and had a lot of tearing around the muzzle which lead to dark streaks. That was about it.
Well they're the toy breed, so they don't get real big. I would try out Google Images with this one. Just type "toy poodles" and click on "images"What do toy poodles look like when they get older?
