Question on the sale of toy guns and knives?

I just went to a party store to purchase a toy gun for a costume I am planning to wear for Halloween. I wanted a holstered gun as an accessory to my costume. I noticed in two costume stores that all of the guns came without a holster and knives came without sheaths. I know that guns must come red tipped but is there also a law that they must come without a holster or sheath in the case of a knife?Question on the sale of toy guns and knives?they probably come without casing so you can tell that it's not real.
