Thanks so much everyone! How much wet food should I feed my 1lb toy chiuaha?feed her spoonfuls in a bowl. if she wants more, she'll lick the bowl or something. How much wet food should I feed my 1lb toy chiuaha?
give her a small bowl then see how much she eats.Thats an

accurate estimate. How much wet food should I feed my 1lb toy chiuaha? It's always a good rule of thumb to feed small dogs about 1/2 their weight everyday. It makes them very lovable.
umm ask a vet.. my dogs a chocolate labrador so i guess its not the sameHow much wet food should I feed my 1lb toy chiuaha? You should start training her for the dry food. Dry food has less calories, you should mix the wet food and the dry food together. As the weeks go by, less and less wet food. How much wet food should I feed my 1lb toy chiuaha?
what i was told by a vet, is to leave food down for the dog. i actually just got some puppy chow and left it down. maybe a cup.
Proper food proportions should be listed somewhere on your dog food labels.

If not check out the manufacturer's website. They should have feeding guidelines.

Always feed according to weight. But at 1lb, you can probably give her as much as she wants to eat without throwing up. Little dogs can be prone to low blood sugar if they don't eat enough throughout the day.How much wet food should I feed my 1lb toy chiuaha?
first of all, there is no such thing as a "toy" chihuahua, or any toy dog for that matter. you probably have a runt, which may be cute and tiny but tend to come with more health complications than a healthy sized dog of that breed.

since she is only 6 weeks, i would feed her as much as she is willing to eat! pups need a lot of nourishment and i'm sure she won't overeat.

when she is put on dry food you should allow her to continue eating as much as she wants because small dogs like chihuahuas can become hypoglycemic so they should have access to food frequently. once she gets older (around 3 or 4 months) and her metabolism %26amp; energy levels slow down a bit, i would only feed her 1/2 cup of dry kibble a day, that is reasonable.
You should feed her dry food in the morning, 1/3 cup and dry food at night 1/3-1/2 cup. You should only feed dog twice a day. In the middle of the day try feeding her some snacks. Feed her before you eat to prevent her from begging for our type of food.
