I know that they were supposed to wear the Star of David so they could easily be recognized as Jews, (and therefore, easily persecuted) but what would happen if they were caught without the star - assuming it was known they were Jewish.
Also, what would happen if they were caught being out after curfew?
Thank you!During the holocaust, what would happen to Jews if they were caught not wearing the Star of David? If a Jew forgot to wear their badge they could be fined or imprisoned, but usually it was beatings or death. Jews came up with ways to remind themselves not to go out without their badge. Posters often could be found at the exit doors of apartments that warned Jews by stating: "Remember the Badge!" Have you already put on the Badge?" "The Badge!" "Attention, the Badge!" "Before leaving the building, put on the Badge!"
If guards/soldiers saw a Jew out after their curfew they had the right to shoot in cold-blood.During the holocaust, what would happen to Jews if they were caught not wearing the Star of David? They were shot or picked-up, taken somewhere and then shot.During the holocaust, what would happen to Jews if they were caught not wearing the Star of David? If they were not beaten to death, they were shot.
