During the holocaust, what would happen to Jews if they were caught not wearing the Star of David?

I know that they were supposed to wear the Star of David so they could easily be recognized as Jews, (and therefore, easily persecuted) but what would happen if they were caught without the star - assuming it was known they were Jewish.



Also, what would happen if they were caught being out after curfew?
