3. In the Odyssey and Star Wars what do the heroes specifically learn through their “initiations”?
In Odyssey first book(odysseus) and Star wars episode 4 (Luke) what do the hereos spefically learn through their "initiations" which help them successfully cross the “return threshold”? How are these learning experiences/ threshold crossings smilar/ different frome one another? I would be appreciated if you could just answer a little part of it, thank you.3. In the Odyssey and Star Wars what do the heroes specifically learn through their “initiations”?Luke Skywalker's journey in Episode 1 is similar to that of Odysseus, with some differences. Luke yearns to fight for the republic and, when discovering the force, wishes to become a Jedi knight like his father before him. There is ironic allegorical context contained in the Odyssey relating to Odysseus' relationship with his son. I would compare this relationship they have in the story to Darth Vader (Anakin Skywalker) and Luke. The main similarity I have come to realize is that Luke truly doesn't know who his father really was, or IS rather. In the Odyssey, Odysseus doesn't realize his son until the end, I would discuss this in your assignment.3.
