Has a player ever been traded to the opposite league after being selected to the all-star team?

If so, what baseball players/teams were involved in the trade and what year did it take place?

Also, any details on if they still played in the MLB all-star game.

I am looking for players who were selected as all-stars, but traded before the midsummer classic took place.Has a player ever been traded to the opposite league after being selected to the all-star team?Yes, Carlos Beltran in 2004 was traded from Kansas City to Houston on June 24th.

He dressed for the NL team but did not play. From wikipedia.org: "While still a Royal, Beltr谩n had been selected to the American League starting outfield for the 2004 All-Star Game. After the trade to the National League, he was initially denied a place in the game. However, after NL starter Ken Griffey, Jr. went on the disabled list, Beltr谩n was named his substitute. Beltr谩n became the first player ever to be selected for one All-Star team but play for the other."Has a player ever been traded to the opposite league after being selected to the all-star team? No, it's never happened.

Proof:

Hypothetically, what would happen if a player such as CC Sabathia or Rich Harden were selected to the All-Star team in one league, and then traded to the other league before the All-Star Game?

If Harden had been named to the American League All-Star team, and traded before the game to a National League team, he most likely would not pitch for the NL squad, but would be replaced on the AL team. The NL All-Star team would have already been picked at that point. That's according to a Major League Baseball official. As far as this official knew, that situation has never happened. Dusty Baker did switch "teams" for an All-Star Game when he managed the 2003 NL All-Star team wearing a Cubs uniform even though he had guided the San Francisco Giants to the World Series in 2002.
