Is there a particular order the Star Wars movies should be watched?

Hi there, I havent watched any Star Wars for years and all of a sudden im pretty keen for it. Anyway, what order should I watch the films in? Just the years they came out or what? The reason for this is because I remember there being some big storyline in the final film, and at the time thought it would of made more sense to watch the films backwards (or at least in a different order).

Cheers for all the help.Is there a particular order the Star Wars movies should be watched? In order to understand the movies completely chronologically in the way that they were written in the original books, this is the best order:

5,6,2,4,1,3

When Lucas made Episode 4 he wasn't expecting it to do good, therefore he just made a movie on what he thought was the most interesting of the series. If you watch it in this order, it makes the most sense to the series as a whole as it was intended. Is there a particular order the Star Wars movies should be watched?
it depends. if you want to see how much it changed over the years, you'd want to watch it in Episode IV, then V, then VI, then I, then II, then end with III: Revenge of the Sith. however, if you want to follow the story, you'd watch it in the order of Episode I, Episode II, Episode III, Episode IV, Episode V, Episode VI. in my opinion, i think it's better to follow the story, so you know what's going on, rather than spend focus on the special effects. Is there a particular order the Star Wars movies should be watched?1-6 is the chronological order

I would watch them in the order they came out.
Actually, I would just skip the recent ones and watch the original 3. Seeing those once was enough. Is there a particular order the Star Wars movies should be watched?Episode 1 through toi Episode 6 in that order. Is there a particular order the Star Wars movies should be watched?
