The difference between a celebrity and a rock star?

Would you say Obama is a celebrity, rock star, or neither? The difference between a celebrity and a rock star? The McCain team once again fails to see the difference. Their claim that Obama is more of a celebrity than Paris Hilton and Britney Spears is ludicrous, Hilton and Spears have been household names for years.

Being a celebrity is not a bad thing, particularly when you want to be popular among people. But Obama is not exactly a celebrity but neither is he like a rock star. JFK had an enormous following; would he be considered a celebrity or rock star? Of course not, it is silly namecalling, and unfortunately the republicans don't even have the namecalling quite right. The difference between a celebrity and a rock star?

Barack Hussein Obama is the junior United States Senator from Illinois. He is the presumptive nominee of the Democratic Party in the 2008 presidential election, and the first of African American descent to be a major party's presumptive nominee for President of the United States.

Celebrity, rock star NOT...The difference between a celebrity and a rock star?Neither, he is a politician. The difference between a celebrity and a rock star?
That's b/c it is Obama's plan...she simply wasn't aware.
