Anyone know what those old star shaped stickers are on the car window of American models are for?

I bought an old 1979 Chevy car from the Midwest. It has these stickers on the windshield that have a 3 point star on them. I cant make out the writing but maybe its for an MOT or inspection / registration sticker?
