The flag of Singapore has a star and crescent on its flag. This is usually a symbol of Islam and why predominantly Muslim countries such as Turkey, Pakistan, Malaysia, Azerbaijan and Algeria. However Islam is a minority religion in Singapore with the majority of people identifying as Buddhism. So what does the star and crescent actually represent?Why does the flag of Singapore have a star and crescent on it's flag, which is usually a Muslim symbol?The crescent moon represents a young nation on the ascendant, illuminated by the five ideals as symbolised by the five stars.
